I would like to introduce myself. I am a tradesman, licenced builder and lawyer and have spent my whole working life in the building and construction industry either as an apprentice chippy (carpenter), tradesman, sub-contractor, contractor, builder and in the legal profession for over 15 years. I have had a lifetime of experience, building, running a business and handling commercial and domestic building disputes and assisting clients in many disparate areas of law.
I have a Bachelor of Laws from Queensland University of Technology.
My real world experience, practical knowledge, legal knowledge and insight, ability to understand and empathise with all concerned parties, combined with high level negotiation skills, enables me to achieve fair, just, efficient and cost effective outcomes through the mediation process.
I am committed to providing effective dispute resolution methods as opposed to litigation, including mediation and collaborative law. I have had an interesting life which has taught me to listen, understand, empathise and give relevant easily understood, applicable, practical advice.
Building disputes can be extremely messy and very expensive. Mediation is an extremely effective way to resolve building and construction disputes in a more timely and just manner.
